Celebrity baby news
Don't be surprised if you hear that Pamela Anderson and her new husband Kid Rock have a baby Rock on the way in the next few months. Us Weekly is reporting that the newlyweds are trying for a child. An insider told the magazine, "Pam and Kid have talked about [having a baby] for a long time. Kid wanted to get back with Pam partly because of this, but she didn't know he wanted a child. They are trying really hard right now." Despite the rumors that have been swirling, "My Name is Earl" star, Jaime Pressly tells People magazine that she is not expecting a baby with her boyfriend of a year and a half, DJ Eric Cubiche. The couple is engaged, however. Jaime told People, "We're not actually planning a wedding right now. Realistically, it could be three or four years from now before we get married…We'll get married when we're ready." And regarding the pregnancy speculation, Pressly said, "No - you can get rid of that rumor." Amanda Peet, who announced her pregnancy just before marrying screenwriter David Benioff last month, won't have to cover up her baby bump on her show "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." E!'s Kristin Veitch reports that a pregnancy storyline has been written into the show for Peet's character, Jordan McDeere. Kristin spoke to Amanda's co-star, Bradley Whitford, who said about the plotline, "I'm biologically capable of being a father. I am, in fact, a father. I've done all the research that one would need to do to create a child. I'll leave it at that." Veitch also claims, "The way in which we find out Amanda's character Jordan is pregnant apparently mirrors a real-life scenario that went down on the set of Saturday Night Live!" Sofia Coppola may be delivering her third film, Marie Antoinette, to theatres this week, but it's another delivery that has her excited now. She and her boyfriend, Thomas Mars of the French band Phoenix, are expecting a daughter. Sofia told USA Today, "I'm so excited to have a little girl…All those little dresses. I tried to be open about both sexes, but it's so fun to have little girl stuff." Regarding names for their daughter, Coppola said she and Mars weren't sure yet. "We're going to wait and see. When you're writing, you pick names for characters, but it's harder in real life," she said. |
