Paris Hilton to be arraigned for DUI charges Thursday

Paris Hilton’s party girl behavior has caught up with her. She has been charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher - two misdemeanors - the Los Angeles city attorney's spokesperson Frank Mateljan confirmed to People magazine. The charges are in connection with her arrest on September 7.

Hilton is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 am on Thursday, though she is not obligated to be in attendance at the hearing. The 25-year-old socialite faces a maximum punishment of a $1,000 fine and/or six months in jail.

Paris was pulled over around 12:30 am on September 7 after, according to LAPD officer Martha Garcia, she was seen "driving erratically." A Breathalyzer showed that she had a blood alcohol level of 0.08, the minimum required to be arrested for DUI in California. Hilton claims that she only had one margarita that night.
