Nick Lachey’s $10 Million Triumph

Earlier this year, Jessica Simpson offered Nick Lachey $1.25 million settlement after three years of marriage. However, Star reveals this sum was mere peanuts compared to the final agreed upon $10 million in assets that Nick will receive, due in part to the fact that the couple never signed a pre-nup before marriage.

Jessica didn’t want to take the matter to court where Nick could have won up to 50% of the $36 million that the pair earned during their time together.

But Nick’s sweet share of the booty will include 1.5% of Jessica’s Dessert Beauty Line, $2 mil from their house in Calabasas, CA, $2.2 mil in securities accounts, and of course his $200K beloved Ferrari.

Nick, who was the major bread-winner at the outset of their marriage contributed to Jessica’s sky-rocketing fortune, helping her co-write hit songs.

Many question what happened to the seemingly perfectly matched pair, and many sources point to Jessica’s over-bearing and controlling relationship with father Joe Simpson, who has never liked Nick. Some attribute it to rumors of Nick’s infidelity.

Whatever the reason, Nick seems to have come out the winner, romancing sexy Vanessa Minillo and enjoying divorce loot, while Jessica remains alone, with a much lighter pocketbook.

The former 98 Degrees frontman - who is now dating MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo - insists looking back never helps anyone.

Nick Lachey is quoted by website andPOP as saying: "I don't believe in regrets. I don't think you can live your life like that.
"You have to live your life the best way you know how and make decisions the best way you know how at the time and don't look back."
