Nick Lachey has "no regrets"

Nick Lachey has "no regrets" about the end of his marriage to Jessica Simpson.
The former 98 Degrees frontman - who is now dating MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo - insists looking back never helps anyone.

Lachey, 32, who exposed details of his and ex-wife Jessica Simpson's married life on reality TV, began dating Vanessa Minnillo earlier this year. The relationship, however, has not been under the spotlight of entertainment news shows Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood reports USATODAY.

Minnillo, 25, is a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, making coverage tricky for both shows.

ET executive producer Linda Bell Blue says her show has made only one reference to Lachey and Minnillo dating: in its coverage of an Aug. 30 MTV Video Music Awards party.

"Who Vanessa sees in her private life is her personal business," says Bell Blue.

Nick Lachey is quoted by website andPOP as saying: "I don't believe in regrets. I don't think you can live your life like that.
"You have to live your life the best way you know how and make decisions the best way you know how at the time and don't look back."
Nick also revealed writing about his split with 'Dukes of Hazzard' actress Jessica, on his latest album 'What's Left of Me', was one of the hardest things he's ever had to do.
He confessed: "I was being personal and honest and was dealing with things that weren't all too pleasant to handle but I couldn't imagine doing it any other way and not dealing with my own emotions."
Nick recently revealed that he is officially over Jessica.
He told friends new girlfriend Vanessa has helped him forget about his failed marriage and cope with the divorce.
A source close to Nick said: "Up until about a week ago, he was still pretty obsessed with Jessica. He was devastated. But now he's over it.
"Vanessa hasn't said she loves him yet but they get along really well and he stays with her when he is in town."
