Nick Lachey Crosses Coasts for Vanessa

Nick Lachey sees a strong future with new love Vanessa Minillo, and is planning a move from his home in L.A. to NYC’s trendy Tribeca area in lower Manhattan reports Star Magazine Vanessa, tired of L.A. and unexpected run-in’s with Nick’s ex-lover Jessica Simpson, is thrilled by the news.

They would share the neighborhood with Jon Stewart, Meryl Streep, and Vanessa’s old flame, Derek Jeter. Nick wants to move in with Minillo and is excited about taking their relationship to the next level. Nick is also investigating Broadway musical roles to combine his singing and acting talents. However, Nick’s rep does not confirm his plans for a cross-coastal move.

In other news, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson have finally divided up the assets from their marriage after the pop hunk agreed to less than his share in order to avoid an ugly court battle reports Sfgate/

The couple amassed an estimated $36 million fortune during their three-year marriage, due in large part to the success of MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" and endorsement deals.

Under California law, the assets are to be divided equally, which would award each of them $18 million.
