Jessica and Ashlee: Sisters Without Misters

Just one year ago Jessica Simpson was defending her marriage to Nick Lachey and Ashlee Simpson seemed to be happily dating Braxton Olita. And now? jess divorced, Ashlee's single and both are in a romantic funk reports Star Magazine. According to the source the root of Jess' predicament is that she picks the wrong guys. "Dane Cook was her worst choice," says a source. "he was living with his girlfriend and said he wasn't going to leave her- but still Jessica dived in headfirst."

Some of the men she has been with have been less than discreet, so rumors spread that if you are looking for a good time call Jessica." but Jess, 26, has exactly kept mum either! Who wouldn't think twice about becoming involved with pop star after her camp told the press she was dating John Mayer, only to retract it days later! To make matters worse, says the source, "Everyone knows that she ripped Nick's heart out, and no man wants to be next on her hit list. Now she feels like she's the kiss of death."

Ashlee has been in several relationships that have left her disappointed. She had high hopes for her relationship with Ryan Cabrera, whom she dated in 2004, she now sees that Ryan was using her for publicity. Ashlee also had a fling with Wilmer Valderama- he blabbed to everyone about their romance.

Last month, after, she and Braxton split, she was spotted kissing rocker Pete Wentz. But he publicly denied they're an item. Ashlee "is realizing happiness won't come from changing her looks," the source says. Much of the blame may fall on Joe Simpson. "Her scares men off,' a source says. In other news, Jessica Simpson reportedly cried when she watched her little siste Ashlee's debut West End performance in 'Chicago'.
