Sportswear giant, Nike is being slammed by female consumers for considering Jennifer Aniston for a multi-million dollar campaign.
Jennifer Aniston is reportedly on the verge of signing a deal with Nike, according to reports.
The amount of money being offered to the former 'Friends' star by the sportswear giant is rumored to be the most the company has ever paid for a celebrity endorsement.
Jennifer is apparently keen to make sure the campaign "brings focus to cancer research" with donations given to her favorite cancer charities
According to a source spilling to thebosh.com, in field tests Jennifer Aniston rated high with women.
But some female consumers are not convinced this is a good move for Nike
One writes This must be a joke right ? How can a chain smoker and an obsessive dieter have in common with Nike ?
What is Aniston going to do , be the spoken woman for Lung Cancer society standing at the podium puffing her Merit ?
This woman has zero ounce of athletic blood in her - why use her to sell sports wear ? Trying to get to all her fans who are big fat homely woman who watch rerun of FRIENDS and read tabloids wearing walmart shoes ?
Ridiculous isn't it. It's too early for April fools Joke. Get Serious Nike
Oh that is a great idea, yeah, people will take her seriously- SHE SMOKES for christ sake. cries another
Meanwhile, Eminem is to design a range of trainers for Nike.
The 'Lose Yourself' rapper's footwear will then be auctioned off for charity in September.
He said in statement: "We're always looking for new ways to try to raise money and awareness for the foundation, so when Nike approached us we jumped at the chance.
"Who wouldn't want to design their own line of Nikes? And to do it for charity makes it that much better."

How should anyone have an objection on someone doing something for a good cause whether that person is a smoker or a dieter? Cancer is caused by lots of habits that anyone may have and may seam harmless i.e. eating processed food or junk food. A person who is on a diet doesn't mean that he/she is anorexic or unhealthy etc, but it can mean that they look after their health. And should someone smoke, does this mean that he/she is not allowed to do something for such cause? I don't understand such people who judge other people without knowing anything about them, just assuming things about them...and anyway, who on earth doesn't have bad habits? i.e. is eating too much better/healthier than being on a diet??? or is socially drinking alcohol better than smoking? who is anyone to judge>? and just because someone is smoking, does this mean that he or she is not athletic?

I thing that women are being overly judgemental. Jennifer Aniston is frequently being photographed while jogging and is known for keeping a vigourous workout as part of her life-style. Just as she has adopted a certain personnal diet to keep her body healthy. To come down on her reputation the way women have is kind of sad. Ok, she's a smoker, nobody is perfect. And so many professional athletes are getting talked about for using hard drugs, I believe that the cigarette is kind of mild in comparison, and I applaude the way she is focusing the whole thing on cancer research.

The comments that people are making about Jennifer Aniston being the spokesperson for Nike is RIDICULOUS!!! I smoke on occassion but I actively job everyday! She does have "athletic blood" in her! She works out daily! These people obviously do not know Jen very well! I think she will do a great job!!

I think there may be a "few" women complaining, but they would probably complain to anyone who signs her due to their dislike of her, anyway. Big deal; you think every spokesperson they have ever had was pure as the driven snow and never smoked/drank/ and god forbid EXERCISED? Give me a break. If she can raise money for BREAST cancer awareness, more power to her.

Actually those two comments they publish above are the only 2 negative ones I've read. Not that I've seen a lot though. But to give such a title to this article is very misleading.
Also, that first comment clearly loses credibility if she lumps Jennifer Aniston's fans as fat, homely, wear Walmart shoes and read tabloids. I'm a fan and none of these describes me. (I'm not saying there's anything wrong being any or all of above. I'm just not and I'm a fan.) I've also noticed that the same person made the same comment to articles from several sites - clearly somebody who just hates Jennifer.

well, what can i say? someone does something bad in society and they get judged but now when someone(jen) does something GOOD in society they are also judged! its obvious that the person who said jen fans are fat is OBVIOUSLY a jealous bitter woman who doesnt know good when she sees it! not once did i hear of a professional getting paid so much money and WILLING to give it to charity.its clear the women on the top doesnt have a clue what they are on about because my grandmother died from breast cancer and never touched a cigerette in her life as she hated them so STOP judging woman who do positive things in society because YOU ARE THE ONES JEALOUS(prob all ange fans anyway)
