Clay talks about the gay rumors
Clay Aiken’s personal life is the subject of much Internet speculation. Despite widespread rumors that he is gay (and tell-alls from a couple of his supposed former flings), the singer has been steadfast in his refusal to admit to any dalliances with men. While promoting his new album, “A Thousand Different Ways, Aiken spoke about his sexual orientation to People magazine, but still left the main question unanswered.
Aiken admitted that he has begun taking the antidepressant and anti-anxiety medication Paxil in order to deal with the panic attacks her suffers from. Clay said, "I said [to my doctor], 'Listen, I don't want to go to a therapist. I have nothing against therapists. I want to think I can do this on my own.' And she recommended that I try a medication…Now I can sit here; I can go into a store; I can handle a photo shoot. I'm able to get rid of all that stuff in the periphery. It makes everything easier." Aiken described how he used to feel before taking Paxil. "I'd walk into a room and…my heart would start pumping, and I'd start sweating and looking around nervously and shaking. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack," he said. |

Excuse me, remember Rollingstone Magazine he addressed the question back in 2003. He said he wasn't gay. But that didn't stop the gossip bullys on the internet from speading rumors and hasn't for 3 years. No wonder the guy needs Paxil, he has been hounded for over 3 years.

Yeah, what up wit dat? Dude already said in Rolling Stone AND a Primetime interview in 2003 that he was NOT gay...Why should he have to keep saying it?

Clay has specifically said that he is not gay in several interviews. Until he got sick of being hounded about it. Then he just quit answering. Nobody was listening anyway.

Yeah I agree...Clay makes such a good point about how the only answer people will accept is yes. Why do people care so much anyway? If he's straight he is straight....if he is gay he is gay...he has an amazing voice and that should be what matters. Stop attacking the man already and let him make music!

Who cares if he's gay or not? He still looks and sings better than you. Why is it so important who he is sticking it into or who is sticking it into him? Just enjoy his music and stop thinking about his crotch ya big PERV.

I just heard that Webster''s Thesaurus was putting Clay Aikens name next to the term GAY, since you know, they go hand and hand.

I think he is probably attracted to his own sex but is confused about it because he's a devout Christian. If I were gay I'd be confused too because I'm a devout Christian like Clay. I hope he figures things out but puts God first in his life not his sex life

Listen, I met him in Boston in July of 2004. He is gay. We met on a gay site www.swordfight.net
We met at the Elliot hotel, he would not unlock his pictures online, but told me he is a good guy and because of his image/career i would understand.
We met, talked and never did a thing.
He is a great guy. Leave him alone.

He is a hummer. Why doesn't everyone admit it, including Clay himself... Gosh, we all know it, doesnt make him a bad guy just makes him openly gay....
