Brad Pitt tries to reach Jennifer Aniston

Brad Pitt is desperately trying to reach ex wife, Jennifer Aniston to help her deal with her father’s apparent heart attack reports Fametastic.

Life & Style Weekly reports that when Brad tried to call Jennifer to offer his support, her number was changed.

A “friend� has revealed: “Brad had to settle for telling Jen’s manager that he hoped everything would turn out OK.�

“He was really relieved to hear that John is going to recover. But this man was his father-in-law for five years, and Brad couldn't do anything to help - because Jen obviously didn’t want him to. The whole experience underlined the fact that he’s not a part of the family anymore

In other news, Brad Pitt has discussed the way in which fatherhood has affected his attitude towards other families.

The Ocean's 13 star recently welcomed his first biological child Shiloh into the world, and is also a father to Angelina Jolie's two adopted children Maddox and Zahara.

Following his efforts to find an eco-friendly and affordable house design to help rebuild New Orleans, the actor revealed that part of his motivation came from his renewed desire to help others less fortunate than himself.

He told WENN: "To be able to have some small hand in improving anyone's life...I mean, I'm a father now and what that does to you is makes you more aware of other children and the plight of other families. It bothers me to see these people [in New Orleans] getting left behind and not getting a big hand up. These are the people that need the most help.

"There are a lot of great things in my life and that comes from this family that we've created. It's incredibly grounding and, walking in the door at the end of the day and seeing these faces light up, I don't know anything more rewarding," Pitt added.
