Haley Joel Osment faces DUI, possession charges

Haley Joel Osment is the latest actor to fall victim to the child star curse. Last month he crashed his car in what police suspected was an alcohol-related accident. Now Los Angeles district attorney says that the 18-year-old has been formally charged with three misdemeanors.

The charges include driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a .08 percent or higher blood alcohol level with the special allegation of having a .15 percent or higher blood alcohol content, and possession of marijuana while driving. Osment will also be charged with the infraction of driving under the age of 21 with a blood alcohol level of .05 or higher.

Haley will be arraigned on September 19 and will be booked at a later date. He faces a maximum sentence of six months in county jail.
