Mariah Carey : The Voice

Pop beauty Mariah Carey kicked off her sold-out Madison Square Garden concert Wednesday night with "It's Like That," from her blockbuster new album, "The Emancipation of Mimi."

The crowd of mostly pretty teens and gays, some heavily intoxicated was warmed up by the suggestive moves of Sean Paul, who performed a string of his hits, including "Baby Boy." Along with his four backup dancers, he brought tons of energy to the stage during his entire 45-minute set.

After a long 55-minute intermission, the curtains -- designed with the initials "MC" in pink glitter -- opened to reveal a classy stage.

The audience went wild (me included), Mimi appeared in her bra and panties , and a transparent night coat. The sexy singer enhanced her toned , sexy legs with a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps

Mariah revealed as much of her body each chance she got.

Mimi's voice was in great form. It was strong , and she hit her high notes with ease. The house was full, and - reflecting the turn toward hip-hop Carey took with "The Emancipation of Mimi" -- rappers Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Da Brat and Jadakiss made surprise guest appearances writes nj.com

Another highlight was the pop hit "Fantasy," performed on a small stage in the middle of the arena. The understated "My All" was a nice break, though she repeatedly returned to surging power ballads, including "Hero" and "We Belong Together.

I enjoyed the show a great deal, the end was a little anti-climatic but overall I would give Mimi a 9 out of a possible 10.
