The “Law & Order� franchise loves to rip its stories from the headlines. Sure, it means the writers are lazy and lacking in inspiration, but who doesn’t want to watch Stabler and Benson go after a faux Tom Cruise or a pseudo Michael Jackson? According to the New York Post’s Starr Report, by Michael Starr, the latest Hollywood star to receive the “L&O� treatment is Britney Spears.

A source for Starr claims that an episode scheduled for the next season of “Law & Order� focuses on "tabloids, drugs, stalkerazzi and a young superstar whose lack of parenting skills might lead to murder." Starr quite logically deduced that Spears is the implied protagonist of the episode. I wonder if the show will feature any car seat mishaps?
