Chances are if you know who Rob and Amber Mariano are, you’ve had enough of them. Still, that hasn’t stopped the married stars of “Survivor: All Stars,? “The Amazing Race? and “Rob and Amber Get Married? from signing on for a fourth reality show. The Marianos will star in the Fox Reality Channel’s first original show, “The Rob and Amber Project.?
The show will take place in Las Vegas, where Rob will attempt to become a professional gambler. Fox Reality Channel has ordered 10 half-hour episodes so far. The show is expected to debut in January.
David Lyle, Fox Reality Channel’s general manager, told Daily Variety, "We've grown up with Rob and Amber. We've seen their first kiss on Survivor and watched their wedding. They're likeable and competitive. What Rob's trying to do now, it's probably every guy's dream and every girl's nightmare."
Amber, whose maiden name in Brkich, first found fame on “Survivor’s? second season, “The Australian Outback.? She returned to the show for the “All Stars? edition where she quickly joined up with Rob, who had originally starred on “Survivor’s? Marquesas season. The couple formed an unbreakable alliance and Amber went home with the million-dollar prize. On the show’s finale, Rob proposed. The pair then declared they hoped to next tackle “The Amazing Race.? Amber and Rob did get their wish and competed on the Emmy award-winning show, but came in second place. Their 2005 nuptials were later documented in “Rob and Amber Get Married.?
