Michael Jackson's ex-wife is suing him for not paying her share of their
divorce settlement.
Debbie Rowe, who was married to Jackson for three years and is the mother of
his two eldest children, claims he has failed to pay what she was promised
when they legally separated in 1999.
Rowe is demanding an immediate payment of $145,000 which she will use to
continue her custody battle for their children.
She gave up her maternal rights to Prince Michael, nine, and Paris, eight,
in 2001, saying that she wanted her ex-husband to have them as a "gift".
But when Jackson was arrested on child molestation charges in 2003, Rowe
asked a judge to give her back her custodial rights to the children.
She claims that the 'Billie Jean' singer stopped paying her $750,000 annual
payments in October 2003.
When the couple divorced in 1999, Jackson agreed to pay Rowe $1 million plus
the annual payments for six more years.
Rowe also received a house in Beverly Hills and a 1998 Ford Explorer car.
Other conditions of the divorce included an agreement that she could visit
her children only once every 45 days.
