Lindsay Lohan holds beach party for autistic children

Lindsay Lohan held a beach party for autistic children - to make up for
almost ruining their day trip.
Volunteers for Smashbox Cares - a charity that teaches autistic youngsters
how to surf - were left fuming after arriving at Carbon Beach, Malibu, on
Monday (03.07.06) and discovering their drop-off point was blocked by the
'Mean Girls' actress' car.

Lohan had apparently parked it there ahead of her lavish 20th birthday party
at the Polaroid Beach House the night before, but misplaced her keys and
couldn't move the vehicle.

Lindsay Lohan marked her twentieth birthday with the huge party by the beach in Malibu.

A host of celebrities including Lohan's close friend Nicole Richie, Courtney Love, Owen WIlson and Kate Bosworth joined the Just My Luck star.

According to Pagesix.com, Life & Style magazine paid for Sunday night's bash at the Polaroid Beach House in Malibu. The event was catered by hip celebrity chef Kerry Simon, after Lohan visited his newly-opened restaurant Simon LA. The no-longer-teen actress took a turn in the DJ booth alongside Dustin Hoffman's son Jake, and later showed off her vocal skills by singing Madonna songs on a karaoke machine. Security shooed away several dozen paparazzi hiding under the house, on the beach or bobbing in boats in the ocean, in order to protect Life & Style's scoop.

In an attempt to make amends the big-hearted bikini-clad actress -
who is hugely popular with young moviegoers - played a three-hour DJ set for
the children.
Some of Lohan's celebrity friends also joined the kids for the impromptu
beach party, including former 'Friends' star Matthew Perry, 'American Pie'
actress Shannon Elizabeth and Woody Harrelson.
