Kate Hudson will cut her son's hair at age three

If you’ve ever seen Kate Hudson with her son Ryder, you’ve probably asked yourself two questions. First: Is that baby a boy or a girl? And once you discover that Hudson’s child is a boy: When is she going to cut that kid’s hair?

Kate’s come out and explained 2-year-old Ryder’s incredibly long locks, stating that she plans on chopping it off when he turns three. The actress claims that she tried to cut Ryder’s hair in the past, but " I just couldn't cut it,� she says. “I couldn't get myself to cut it.�

In order to justify her decision to leave the tot’s hair long, she found a rationalization within her heritage. Hudson says, “I'm part-Jewish, Hasidic Jews - they don't cut their kids hair until they're three. I'm not very religious, but it's actually kind of beautiful, they compare the men to a tree and trees don't bear fruit for three years. So I just figured maybe on his third birthday I'll cut it. I'm going to cry my eyes out!"

According to Kate’s plan there’s less than five months left for Ryder’s long-hair look. Let’s hope, for his sake, Kate doesn’t lose her nerve once his birthday rolls around.
