Kate Moss goes after Pete's pal

Kate Moss just can’t get over her thing for scruffy musicians. The supermodel made headlines this past year because of her tumultuous relationship with junkie rocker Pete Doherty of Babyshambles and formerly of the Libertines. To improve her image, Moss began distancing herself from Doherty after she was caught using cocaine last September. But just because Pete is out of the picture doesn’t mean Kate’s given up on his friends as potential love interests.

According to Britain’s Sky News, Moss has been dating Anthony Rossomando, the guitarist for the group Dirty Pretty Things. Rossomando is a friend of Doherty’s and replaced him in the Libertines when Doherty’s antics got to be too much for the band. Kate and Anthony met at a Dirty Pretty Things gig and were introduced by Carl Barât of the Libertines. “Carl introduced them and they got on really well,� said a source for Australia’s NW. The insider claims that Barât hoped that Moss and Rossomando would hit it off and that their relationship would irritate Doherty.

Carl’s plan worked. Another informant said, “The fact that [Kate] keeps hooking up with [Pete’s] mates really upsets him,� reveals an insider. NW reports that Pete is now determined to sabotage Kate’s reputation with his upcoming book. His friends believe he will “reveal everything about their relationship� in his soon-to-be published diaries.

But Moss doesn’t seem like she’s letting Doherty’s threats keep her from enjoying a fling with Rossomando. The new couple “flirted� at the Wireless Festival and then spent four hours in Moss’s room at Brown’s Hotel. Anthony and Kate didn’t leave the room until 5:45 am.
