Justin Timberlake was "infatuated" with ex-lover Britney Spears

"SexyBack," singer Justin Timberlake has confessed he was "infatuated" with ex-lover Britney Spears from the minute he set eyes on her.

The singer says he knew he had to be with Britney Spears
straight away.

He confessed to the US version of GQ magazine: "I was in love with her from
the start. I was infatuated with her from the moment I saw her."
Justin - who met Britney when they both appeared on children's TV series the
'Mickey Mouse Club' - has also revealed he felt bitter towards Britney after
they split in 2002.
He said: "When we initially parted ways, I felt like she had a couple of
opportunities to just sort of stick up for me, and she didn't. Which is
fine. But at that time, you know, I fought back - I wrote a song."
Justin, who is now dating Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz, admits the pair no
longer speak, but insists he wants Britney, who is married to former dancer
Kevin Federline, to be happy.
He said: I wish her well. I don't think you can ever count somebody like her
out. Because she may appear one way, but she's very clever."

Justin says: "The drugs that I do have been done in my own private time. I've never been arrested -- though that's not to say that I won't. I've done way too many drugs already. I've already inhaled and I've already -- who knows? Some drugs haven't been legalized because it will ruin the other drugs, like nicotine and tobacco. Nicotine is more addictive than heroin. I'll leave the preaching to the preachers -- my grandfather is a preacher -- but I believe that you don't do anything to excess. They always say too much of a good thing could be a bad thing. I try to live my life in a well-rounded manner. We all make mistakes. I'm just like everyone else -- I get completely plastered, I've done my fair share of drugs and been caught places with my pants down. It's just that I make sure there are no cameras around."

Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, comes out Sept. 12, and its first single, "SexyBack," is already bumping in dance clubs across the country.
