Brad Pitt says having a baby is the best thing he ever did.
Angelina and partner Brad Pitt welcomed their baby daughter Shiloh Nouvel into the world on
Saturday (27.05.06) .

Pitt insists being a dad is far more rewarding than
making films or winning awards.

Being a parent, he said, is "a true joy.

“It really changes your
perspective on the world. You know, I've had my day. I made some films, and
I've really had a very fortunate life, and it's time for me to share that a
little bit.
“You feel you want to be there and not miss out on anything. It's a true joy
and a very profound love. You can write a book, you can make a movie, you
can paint a painting, but having kids is the most extraordinary thing I've
ever taken on."
Brad, 42, insists the thing he finds most rewarding about Shiloh is if he
burp her after she has had her milk.
The ‘Troy’ star - who has also become legal guardian to Angelina’s two
adopted children, Maddox, four, and 17-month-old Zahara - quipped: “Man, if
I can get a burp out of that little thing I feel such a sense of
accomplishment."

Brad Pitt also spoke to Anne Curry of the Today Show about many important issues especially his involvement in rebuilding New Orleans.
Because Pitt is interested in helping others, he is sponsoring a $100,000 contest to design a 12-unit apartment building in the area's devastated by Katrina.

Through his interview with Anne Curry on the Today Show, he hopes to raise awareness to the need to rebuild New Orleans while preserving the environment.

"Man, I got kids now,"

"It completely changes your perspective. And certainly takes the focus off yourself, which I'm really grateful for."

"I'm so tired of thinking about myself. I'm kinda sick of myself," Pitt said.
