Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia break up

Just like their characters Rory and Jess on the WB’s hit show “Gilmore Girls,�? Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia just can’t make it work. The longtime couple has split, Milo confirmed to TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello.

29-year-old Milo and 24-year-old Alexis met on the set of “Gilmore Girls�? where he played Jess, a love interest for Alexis’s character Rory. Though the Milo left the show in 2003, series creators, Amy Sherman-Palldino and Daniel Palldino kept bringing Jess back. In his interview with Ausiello, however, Ventimiglia claimed that another return to Stars Hollow for Jess is “never gonna happen.�? Milo blames Jess’s departure on the fact that Palladinos have left, not on his break-up with Alexis, however.

If Gawker’s Stalker column is to be believed, Milo and Alexis’s relationship has been rocky for some time now. Readers on the site have posted several sightings of the couple fighting over the last few months, including one occasion where Milo was overheard calling Alexis the “C-word.�? He was also reportedly seen pushing her. We say, good riddance, Alexis.
