Kylie Minogue has spoken for the first time about her struggle to beat
breast cancer.
The pop babe - who was given the all-clear at the beginning of this year -
says it's been a "long, hard road" following her diagnosis last May.
The courageous singer - who underwent months of gruelling chemotherapy
treatment - is now back in the studio recording new tracks.
She said: "It's been a long, hard road to now but I'm feeling good and I
want to get back into the swing of things.
"I'm still taking things slowly, but I've had a great week in the studio and
things couldn't be any better."
The diminutive star - who was forced to cancel her sell-out tour after
falling ill - credits her family with giving her the strength to fight
cancer.
She told Australia's Sun Herald newspaper: "I think it comes from my
parents, I've got an incredible family and my parents are very happy. their
marriage is a great thing to aspire to."
Kylie, 37, revealed she dreams of starting a family with her boyfriend,
French actor Olivier Martinez.
She said: "Ollie is lovely. Our relationship has gone well from the
beginning. I suppose it helps that he understands my career.
"Yes, I feel broody. It's only natural. It hasn't happened yet, but I hope
it will someday."
