Jessica Simspon turns down Nick's last attempt to win her back

Is Nick Lachey using Vanessa Minnillo to hurt Jessica Simpson? It certainly seems that way. At least if you believe a recent report from Life & Style Weekly.

According to an insider for the magazine, Lachey had asked Simpson to accompany him on a trip to Hawaii to “see if their relationship still had any life in it� before they went through with their divorce. Nick was likely trying to stir up pleasant memories for Jessica with the trip as the couple had spent many a holiday together in the Hawaiian islands in the past. Unfortunately for Nick, the hopeless romantic, Jessica turned him down on his offer. “She wants her freedom more than she wants a second chance,� L&S claims.

Now, with only days before the divorce is scheduled to become final, Nick has been flaunting his “relationship� with Minnillo. As we reported earlier in the week, the couple spent last Saturday night at the Mixx Nightclub in the Borgata hotel in Atlantic City. They’ve also been photographed cuddling in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Could Nick be trying to show Jessica just what she’s missing out on?
