Jessica has found a new friend to Cher her secrets with

Jessica Simpson clearly believes in life after love. Since her split from Nick Lachey, she’s been turning to Cher for support, claims the National Enquirer.

Though Jessica met Cher back in 2004, they didn’t start hanging out as friends until running into each other again recently at a Hollywood party. Upon their second meeting, "Cher immediately invited Jessica for lunch," a source told the Enquirer. They’ve been shopping buddies and confidantes ever since.

Cher has been providing Jessica with a shoulder to lean on. The insider says, "[Cher] really listens to Jess, and she's given her sound advice to help get through her divorce from Nick.�

As big as star as Simpson is, she is still star-struck by Cher. Says the source, “It blows Jessica's mind that she's hanging out with her childhood idol. For a little girl who grew up in Texas, seeing Cher up close is positively awesome. She told a pal: 'I love hanging with Cher. She's so funny and worldly at the same time. I feel so blessed.'"
