Female musicians: Beyonce needs you!
Beyonce Knowles has always been about girl power, reminding women that they’re bootylicious survivors. Now the R&B chanteuse wants her message to extend all the way to her band. Knowles is currently searching for an female musicians to back her on her upcoming tour. Beyonce’s new album is called B-Day and its international release coincides with her 25th birthday, September 4 (the CD will drop on Sept. 5 in the states). The all-gal band will accompany Beyonce for the B-Day tour. Knowles is looking for drummers, keyboard players, bassists, guitarists, horn players and percussionists. If you think you have what it takes, auditions will be taking place on Monday in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Burbank, Calif., and Weehawken, N.J. Those who make the first cut will go on to New York for an audition with Beyonce later this week. The band is scheduled to be on the road by June 20. |
