According to pagesix.com, Spears appeared without her publicist, did her own hair and make up, and when she started crying on the show one of her fake eyelashes fell off.
When Lauer asked Britney if she cleans her Malibu compound by herself, Britney responded, "Yes, I have a maid that comes once a week, but she slacks a little bit." She added that she does "everything," including cleaning the bathroom and doing the laundry. Britney must be quite the power cleaner, considering her home is a 9,130-square-foot, eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion! writes Star Magazine
Britney's claim drew some skepticism from celebrity housekeeper Donnalyn O'Connor, who tells Star, "It would take about three to four days to take care of all those bathrooms, the laundry, the kitchen, the bedroom. Even if I worked for 15 hours straight, I would not be able to get a house of that size cleaned and disinfected properly. It would take a lot of time, especially with a baby to clean up after. She definitely needs a housekeeper, I've never heard of a person of with a house that big that does not at least have a staff of three housekeepers to help."
During the interview when she was asked about her husband Kevin Federline being with pregnant Shar Jackson when they met, she shot back, "Julia Roberts' husband had a pregnant wife when he hooked up with Julia, but no one ever talked about that!"
To make things worse, Spears was wearing slippers, a see through tank and micro-mini jeans.
A source said: "They asked NBC not to release footage to places like E!"
In other news, TMZ reports on Britney Spears sliding back to Louisiana.
1. Her clothes. She's been dressing quite a bit less glamorous recently. Brit used to be a fashion plate and whatever she wore was the height of chic. Now she's more likely to be seen in cutoffs than in Chanel.
2. Her accent. Ms. Spears' diction has slid into territory that might be kindly described as "traditional Southern." In her recent NBC interview, Britney's answers to Matt Lauer's questions showed her deep south heritage, not just in what she said ("... with my Dad, I'd sit in his lap and drive. We're country!") but in how she said it. Simple words like "living room" come out of her mouth with a twang we didn't used to hear from the pop princess.
3. Her emotions. Most of all, Britney just seems more comfortable being a mom than being an icon. In the interview, she was a bit uncomfortable when Lauer asked her about being perceived as a "redneck". But when he asked her about the paparazzi, she burst into tears.

you forgot her honesty is perfect.. that is worth much more than perfectly made up and 24/7 sexy to the public view.

Britney is all spin. Did she ever use a complete sentence in the entire interview. It must be exhausting for her to lie, deny and hide so much

Doing her own hair and make-up is a given!
