IFC Films will open Patrick Creadon’s WORDPLAY, a new documentary film featuring New York Times Crossword editor Will Shortz, Jon Stewart , President Bill Clinton and Yankees pitcher Mike Mussina, in New York on Friday, June 16th at the IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at 3rd Street) and Lincoln Plaza Cinemas (Broadway between 62nd & 63rd Streets). WORDPLAY, will open in Los Angeles on June 23rd and nationally on June 30th.
Directed by Patrick Creadon and a hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival where it debuted, WORDPLAY takes you into the world of Will Shortz, editor of The New York Times Crossword. Also known to millions as National Public Radio's "Puzzle Master," Shortz has spent his entire lifetime studying, creating, and editing puzzles, and has built a huge following along the way.
