Tommy's brother says fight was a misunderstanding

It looks like the bar fight that took place last week between Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose and fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger was just a misunderstanding after all. Page Six reported earlier this week that Hilfiger’s beating of Rose may have been motivated by the fact that Rose is dating Hilfiger’s adopted brother’s ex-wife. The adopted brother in question, Michael H., denies the story, however.

Michael told Page Six, "I GAVE Axl my blessing - if he wants to date my ex-wife, that's fine with me…We're all family. Axl's guitarist in Guns N' Roses is Richard Fortus, who also plays in my band. I've seen Axl and my ex-wife practically every night for the past two weeks, and we're all cool.� Got that?

Michael added that, even if his brother were upset with Axl, that wasn’t his motivation because “I don't think Axl knew it was Tommy and I don't think Tommy knew it was Axl,� he said. “But by the time they realized it, the fuse was already lit - and you can't put out the fuse on dynamite…I'm sure that [Axl] and Tommy will make up over a drink or dinner someday."
