Tom Cruise is being lined up to star in superhero movie 'Iron Man'.
The 'Mission: Impossible III' star is wanted by film bosses to play
billionaire industrialist, Anthony Stark, who fights crime in a
super-powered suit.
Cruise, who is engaged to Katie Holmes, has already expressed an interest in
the role. In 2004, the actor admitted he would be prepared to take the part
if "he got a good script".

Jon Favreau - who made 'Swingers' and 'Elf' - has already been signed up to
direct the film, the latest Marvel comic book hero to be brought to life on
the big screen.
Cruise is not the first actor to be linked to the role, 'Face Off' star
Nicolas Cage and 'Titanic' actor Leonardo DiCaprio have both been tipped in
the past.
Movie bosses and Marvel Comics chiefs have had an 'Iron Man' movie in the
pipeline for several years and had originally hoped to have the movie made
and released in the summer of 2004.
