Katie's got the baby blues

Karma’s a bitch. Tom Cruise’s fiancée, Katie Holmes is reportedly experiencing post-partum depression after giving birth to the couple’s first child, Suri. A source for British newspaper the Sun claims that Holmes has been "constantly in tears" since Suri’s arrival.

Though Katie has been said to be "emotional and very tired," the actress is not letting the baby blues worry her too much. The source said, "Katie told pals it's natural for new mums to experience strong emotions."

Ironically, Cruise went on a bit of a campaign against Brooke Shields last year after Shields revealed she turned to antidepressants after her own bout with postpartum depression. As Tom is a known opponent of psychiatric drugs, it’s unlikely that Katie will seek a pharmaceutical solution to her sadness.
