Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's big fight

Are Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise on the verge of a split? Sources for Life & Style Weekly certainly seem to think so. The magazine is reporting that Katie and Tom recently had a major blow out that resulted in Katie fleeing to her home state of Ohio with Suri in tow.

Holmes had been planning for some time to take her new baby to meet her friends and family, but was nervous about how the visit would go, as there is a history of bad blood between Cruise and the Holmeses. An insider told L&S that Tom eventually decided “he wasn’t going, considering the bad relations between him and [Katie’s] family. Katie was really happy he said that, because she’d been afraid to admit to him that she didn’t want him to go.�

The insider claims that a fight ensued when Katie claimed she would be going ahead with the trip regardless of the fact that Tom would not be coming along. She told him, “I’m doing this and you can’t stop me,� the insider says. The fight really made Holmes question her relationship with Cruise. A “confidant� of the actress told Life & Style, “Katie’s very unhappy and beginning to realize she may have made a major mistake being with Tom.�
