Gwen Stefani gave birth to a baby boy, her publicist confirmed. "Both mother and child are doing well," read her rep’s statement.
Gwen and her husband, Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale saluted her band, No Doubt’s ska influence by naming the child Kingston. According to Us Weekly, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was delivered via Caesarean section and weighed 7.5 pounds.
A witness to Stefani’s arrival at the hospital said she was "wearing her signature red lipstick and looked so excited."
Gwen has spoken about her desire to be a fun and imaginative mother for her children. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2005 she said that with her kids she’d like to “as a character for them, so they think their mom is Alice in Wonderland or Cinderella.�
