Brad Pitt is the new Britney Spears

Hollywood hunk, Brad Pitt is being slammed by safety watchdogs after he was photographed cycling with his adopted baby daughter Zahara strapped to his back

Thursday, Dad-to-be Brad Pitt went on a bike ride with partner Angelina Jolie's adopted children in Africa. With 16-month-old Zahara strapped to his back he watched Maddox, age four ride next to him on a tiny bike with [training wheels] and a red crash helmet.

Brad, 42, is in Namibia with Angelina, 30, who is due to give birth to their first child together any day now..

Brad is the latest celebrity to catch the attention of childcare experts.

Just last week Britney Spears, was blasted for putting her baby, Sean, at risk during recent car trips, Carring. Zahara strapped to his back is a no-no, says Debra Smiley Holtzman, author of "The Safe Baby."

"[Zahara] needs a helmet and closed-toe shoes," Holtzman tells Us Weekly. "And I highly recommend toddlers ride in a child trailer pulled by a bike. It's more stable and secure."

Makers of the baby-pack "specifically say, 'Do not use while riding a bike,'" Vercelletto says. "[It] will affect your balance. The safest place for her would be in a toddler bike seat."

Pitt yesterday sent word from Africa that, because of the baby's "imminent arrival," he couldn't join castmates Cate Blanchett and Gael García Bernal at the Cannes Film Fest premiere of "Babel."
