Oprah’s fitness trainer, Bob Greene will be joining her for the book which will be released in January. Sources for the New York Post claim that Winfrey’s advance for the book is over $12 million – the amount that Bill Clinton received for his memoir.
Another celebrity is also making headlines about her weight. Singer Beyonce Knowles confessed that she lost 20 pounds for her role in the upcoming Dreamgirls.
Knowles was in France last week to promote the film at the Cannes Film Festival. She told reporters about her transformation to play the part of Deena Jones, a character thought to be based on Diana Ross. Knowles said, "At the beginning [of filming], I was my normal weight. I actually gained a little bit, but then I lost 20 lbs. when I went from young Deena to old Deena. I wanted it to be something more than just make-up and hair. I wanted to see the change."
Beyonce denied that Hollywood pressure was behind her weight loss. "The director [Bill Condon] actually kept telling me to 'eat, eat, eat' for continuity, but I really wanted to go all the way,? she said.
