Spade weighs in on Denise drama

At the beginning of this month, rumors started swirling that Heather Locklear was canoodling with comedian David Spade. Though Spade initially brushed off the gossip, he appears to be sticking by his new lady in her latest controversy.

When Us Weekly asked how Locklear was dealing with the fact that her former best friend, Denise Richards is dating her soon-to-be ex-husband, Richie Sambora, Spade said, “All I know is she’s home nursing her knife wounds in the back tonight.�?

He weighed in on the relationship himself, stating, “That whole thing - objectively - looks a little rough. But I think that’s the common opinion. Guys you can kind of not trust. But girls usually cover each other. That’s why that makes that rougher than usual.�?

David is not alone in his opinion of Denise’s betrayal. Page Six claims that Richards has been seeing Sambora secretly since November - before he and Locklear announced their split. An insider told the gossip column that Heather and Denise’s mutual friends have definitely chosen sides. "No one is talking to Denise right now,�? the source said. “They are all just appalled."

Though Spade didn’t object to dishing on Richards in his chat with Us, he stayed tight-lipped on the status of his relationship with Locklear. “I don’t know what’s going on,�? he said. “I’m just lucky to know someone that’s that sweet and pretty.�?
