Paula Abdul attacked at party

Over the weekend, Paula Abdul encountered a “Cold Hearted Snake.� The "American Idol" judge has claimed that a man assaulted her at a party over the weekend. In a report filed in Hollywood on Tuesday, Abdul claimed that she was attacked on 1 am Sunday.

Paula had been at a private party at LA club, Xenii when the attack took place. "According to Abdul, the man at the party argued with her, grabbed her by the arm and threw her against a wall. She said she had sustained a concussion and spinal injuries," Lt. Paul Vernon said. A friend who accompanied Paula also suffered injuries in the altercation and had to receive stitches for a cut.

"[Abdul] saw her own doctor and at the time of the report said she would make herself available for photographs (of her injuries)," another police spokesperson said.

Abdul was aware of the name of her attacker, but police would not release that information until Abdul’s claim had been further investigated. The man was not yet charged for the incident.
