 | | Sienna Miller and Steve Buscemi get death threats | | | | If you were to hear that Sienna Miller has been receiving death threats, you might not be surprised. The actress’s continued break ups and make ups with Jude Law are enough to drive any gossip monger to the edge. But it’s not a crazed pop culture addict who’s after Sienna – it’s a group of Islamic fundamentalists.
The Muslims are upset that Sienna is participating in a remake of the Theo van Gogh movie, Interview. Van Gogh was murdered in 2004 because of another film he made, Submission, which angered the fundamentalists. The remake of Interview is being directed by Steve Buscemi, who is also receiving death threats. He has told Sienna that he will hire extensive security to protect her.
According to Britain’s Daily Star, the letters Sienna has been sent say that "she will be sorry" if she does not quit filming. A source told the paper, "Sienna refuses to give in to these threats. The film hasn't got anything to do with Islam. But because it's being made as a tribute to Theo, the Islamic fundamentalists have hit the roof."
