Lindsay Lohan has reportedly by snubbed by Louis Vuitton bosses who killed plans to make her the face of the label.
The high-fashion label opted to take on Naomi Campbell for their ad campaign instead, despite rumours the Lohan was expected for the job.
Even the teenage pop star's friendship with Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs failed to swing the deal.
An insider tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Marc is great friends with Lindsay and she loves his clothes so it was no surprise rumours were flying that he was pushing his French bosses to get her to star in their campaign.
"But they thought Lindsay too American for their global brand," reports sfgate.com.
Instead, the exclusive contract has been handed to Naomi Campbell who will now replace Leonardo DiCaprio's ex Gisele Bundchen instead of the 'Mean Girls' actress.
The change was reportedly ordered by the label's designer Marc Jacobs.
Campbell is reportedly thrilled to be joining the Louis Vuitton campaign, even though she is currently facing assualt charges in the USA.
A spokewoman for Naomi said: "She is extremely excited to be chosen for the campaign."
