Grohl's wife gives birth

Dave’s a daddy! A daughter was born to Dave Grohl, of Nirvana and Foo Fighters, and his wife of nearly three years, Jordyn Blum, last Saturday in Los Angeles. They named the child Violet Maye, after Dave’s grandmother.

Violet weighed 6 lbs., 15 oz., and measured 21 inches, reports People magazine. Grohl called his daughter "just perfect."

The birth of his daughter may signify a new chapter in Dave’s life. After losing out on a Grammy this year he said, "I don't need Grammys anymore, baby! I'm retiring. I'm going to write a children's book. Isn't that what you're supposed to do when you have kids? Or form a kid's band."

But just in case Dave decides to keep rockin’, we have the perfect babysitter in mind. Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean is 13 now. Isn’t that about the right age for a sitter?
