Avril planning wedding - and baby

Avril Lavigne is finally preparing for a happy ending with her sk8er boi. The singer and her fiancé, Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, announced their plans to marry last June. But unlike the whirlwind engagements of her peers (Paris Hilton and Kimberly Stewart, most notably), Avril’s has actually lasted and she’s prepping her wedding now, reports TMZ.com.

The website claims that 21-year-old Lavigne and 26-year-old Whibley will tie the knot this summer in a traditional church wedding. But after that, things will get a little more pop punk. The reception will feature circus performers and some of their rock band friends.

Avril and Deryck plan to honeymoon in Paris and the South of France. But their post-nuptial vacation won’t be all play. Word is, Avril’s ready for a baby, so they’ll be pretty busy. She’s been designing a nursery for her home, says TMZ.
