Paris Hilton is losing her power

Paris Hilton is losing her A-list status quickly. The heiress made famous by a stupid reality show and an even stupider sex tape is no longer on the top of every Hollywood guest list. Instead she’s being blacklisted from some of the biggest celebrity parties.

As we reported earlier this week, Hilton was banned from the Vanity Fair Oscar party this year by the magazine’s editor, Graydon Carter. Now she’s rumored to be on the verge of being banned from Elton John's AIDS foundation Oscar party too. Hilton attended the event on Sunday, but must have left her checkbook at home. Said a Page Six insider, "The party is a benefit gala, and tickets are $2,500 a pop. When it was suggested to her that she donate the money, Paris just said, 'Don't you know who I am?' and waltzed right in…Everyone else paid. She won't be asked back." Quick to spin the story, one of Hilton’s innumerable reps claimed, "Paris did instruct her accountant to cut a check for $10,000." The money has yet to arrive, though, as foundation officials confirmed that Hilton had not donated.

And Elton and Graydon aren’t the only ones tired of Paris’s act. Us Weekly has pulled a Lloyd Grove as a Page Six source in the magazine says they will no longer be writing stories about her. "She even got into a huge fight with [boyfriend] Stavros [Niarchos] at their Oscar party, and they didn't put it in the magazine. It's all for show and to get press anyway. And she doesn't sell. They will run pictures of her, but that's about it," the spy said.

Don’t expect Paris to put up with non-coverage in the weeklies for long. Even if she has to steal another boyfriend - Ashlee Simpson’s mate, Braxton Olita is looking good these days - Hilton will make headlines again.
