Paris Hilton banned from Vanity Fair party

Vanity Fair editor, Graydon Carter has sure changed his tune about Paris Hilton. Last summer VF staffers were complaining to Radar magazine about Carter’s apparent infatuation with the celebutante. Now it seems Carter wants nothing to do with her. What could have happened between these two to cause such a change of heart?

Back in June an insider told Radar, “Graydon is obsessed - obsessed - with her.�? While one Vanity Fair employee said, “He invites her to the Oscar party every year and just nuzzles up to her. He doesn’t care about Julia Roberts or Cameron Diaz - he thinks Paris is the fluffy epitome of what VF is all about.�?

But this year, Carter decided to keep Paris away from the event at which he using to be so fond of having her. According to the Daily Dish, “Hilton was banned from Vanity Fair's annual post-Oscar party on Sunday night, after being blacklisted by…Carter.�? The column even quoted Graydon as saying, “Paris who? She will never attend one of the parties I host.�?

Could it be that the famed editor feels burned after featuring Paris in a cover story that purported that the tarty starlet had changed her ways? The October 2005 issue of Vanity Fair featured an engaged Paris claiming she was head over heels for Greek shipping heir, Paris Latsis. But Paris and Paris broke up soon thereafter, making a mockery of the article. It looks like Graydon is still holding one serious grudge against his former pet.
