Let the spin begin. After the Bosh and several other gossip sites and publications caught wind of the fact that Nick Lachey and newly-single Kristin Cavalleri of “Laguna Beach� had been spotted out together, both camps were quick to claim that the pair weren’t dating.
As Kristin told People magazine, “There’s nothing to talk about, there's nothing going on. He's a nice guy, but I'd have to say we're just friends." The 19-year-old blonde beauty recently split with her boyfriend of several months, Brody Jenner of Fox’s short-lived reality show “Princes of Malibu.�
Nick, who exited his relationship with Jessica Simpson last November “is not looking for a girlfriend or anything serious. He is a single guy now," one of his friends told People. So how did the rumor that he and Kristin were an item begin? According to the non-couple, it was just a set of coincidences that got the press buzzing.
On one night, Cavalleri happened to be at the same restaurant outside of Los Angeles that Nick and his friends and family visited. Shortly thereafter, they both wound up at Koi. Nick was with an agent while Cavalleri met with friends. So much for the sizzling hot hook-up.
