No more bare feet for Britney Spears

As if Britney Spears doesn’t have enough things to worry about - her negative public image, her club-hopping husband and her possible pregnancy, to name a few - she was recently rushed to the hospital after stepping on a hypodermic needle.

Britney has been fond of walking around barefoot for years now, but the singer may have finally learned her lesson. She was sans shoes when she stepped out of her car and onto a needle in a Hawaii parking lot. Britney was rushed to Hawaii State Hospital where, luckily, she learned that the needle had not been used.

A source told British newspaper, the Daily Star, "Britney is going to be fine. She's got a nasty cut but it's been disinfected and dressed and she's been released from hospital. It was more the shock of seeing the needle poking out of her foot - as you can imagine. All sorts of things race through your mind in that situation. The conclusion we would all jump to is that it was discarded by a drug user. Britney was distraught but brave."
