Nick and Jessica regretting their split

Could there be hope for Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson? The couple split late last year, but are having trouble moving on, says Star magazine. Both stars are feeling their biological clocks ticking and may soon discover that the only person they want to parent children with is the other.

A source close to Nick said, "The truth is, moving on from Jessica hasn't been so easy. Nick is at the point in his life where he'd prefer to settle down, and Jessica is the only person he's ever considered having kids with. Every woman he meets, Nick winds up stacking up against Jessica."

Meanwhile, Jessica, who this week confessed to seriously considering adoption in the not-too-distant future, is also having trouble forgetting her first love. Another insider told Star, "Jess sees photos of Nick out with other women, and it's breaking her heart.�? While another source revealed, “Jessica is realizing that she and Nick never really had a fair shot. The first two years of their marriage, they were never alone. They were shooting ‘Newlyweds’ - how can you develop a deep, loving relationship in front of a camera?"
