Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is filing for divorce from Melissa, his wife of three years. The National Enquirer has learned exclusively that the couple split up in January, soon after LeBlanc's NBC sitcom Joey was cancelled. Melissa McKinght, blame "irreconcilable differences" for the split.
In 2004, LeBLANC's former driver DAMIAN PLUMLEIGH took a story to American tabloid NATIONAL ENQUIRER and even passed a lie detector test. Plumleigh claimed he hired gay escorts for the actor.
LeBlanc insists he doesn't care what the results of a polygraph test were - Plumleigh is a liar.
The actor, who was happily married at the time, fumed, "I have never asked to be set up with gay hustlers. It's absolutely not true. I am not bisexual."
The actor's spokesman, Joe Libonati, said in a statement: "Melissa and Matt
have decided to end their marriage of three years.LeBlanc, 38, and former model Melissa "Missie" McKnight, 41, were married in a romantic beachfront ceremony in Hawaii on May 3, 2003.
The ceremony was attended by 75 guests including 'Friends' stars Jennifer
Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow. The actor met the 41-year-old in 1997 through mutual friends, 'La Bamba'
actor Lou Diamond Phillips and his wife Kelly.
At the time, a friend of the couple said: "They're really sweet together.
"He loves her and she loves him. It's very real."
"The dissolution is amicable. They remain devoted parents and friends. For
the sake of their family, they ask that their privacy be respected at this
time."
The couple have a two-year-old daughter, Marina, who suffers from a rare brain disorder, called cortical dysplasia.... and LeBlanc is stepfather to his wife's two older children from an earlier marriage, Tyler, 13, and Jacquelyn, 10.
Since 'Friends' ended, LeBlanc has been starring in spin-off show, 'Joey' -
but the series has been struggling in the ratings and has been pulled from
the schedules of US TV network, NBC.
