Pop babe Jessica Simpson has dumped her record label.
The sexy singer - who called time on her three-year marriage to singer Nick
Lachey four months ago - was apparently keen to make a fresh start after
seven years with Colombia.
The 'Dukes of Hazzard' beauty has now signed a deal with Epic.
She told America's Billboard magazine: "It just seems the right place for me
as I begin my new journey."
Earlier this week, it was revealed Jessica has bought the film rights to
sexy novel, 'Lovers And Players'.
She forked out for the first refusal because she wants to play the lead in a
big screen version of the steamy Jackie Collins tome, which follows the
saucy exploits of a billionaire, his three sons and a waitress called
Liberty.
An insider said: "Jessica has read the book several times and loves it.
"Jessica says the role is perfect for her. She's hoping it will showcase her
as a serious actress."
