Writers at ABC’s “Desperate Housewives� must have heard about the legend of Jared Leto’s well, to put it delicately, prowess. They’ve asked the actor - whose real life girlfriends have included Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Olsen and Lindsay Lohan - to guest star on the show. Cameos on “Housewives� are hard to come by. Another one of Leto’s ex’s, Cameron Diaz, was said to have been turned down for a part, as was pop star Britney Spears.

Eva Longoria’s character, Gabrielle will be the object of Leto’s affection on the show, reports British newspaper, the Sun. Jared will play a lusty grocery worker in four episodes next season. Leto will be stirring up plenty of trouble on Wisteria Lane; he’s rumored to responsible for getting Gabrielle’s husband back behind bars.
