Despite rumors, Charlize is not single

If you thought you had a chance with Charlize Theron, you’re going to be disappointed by this news. Despite widespread rumors of a split, the actress is still dating her boyfriend of five years, actor Stuart Townsend, her rep confirms.

The gossip began as a result of Charlize’s many recent red carpet appearances sans Stuart. Theron was ever present during awards season as she had received many nominations for her role in last year’s North Country. Townsend, however, was noticeably absent from the events. Charlize has since explained that Stuart has been busy filming and hasn’t been able to join her.

Charlize’s publicist released a statement, which read, "Stuart and Charlize have not broken up. Next week everyone will be calling me saying they were married. We can't win."
