Their apartment is an ugly concrete high rise, on a grungily hip thoroughfare opposite a loud metro station, surrounded by cheap fast food restaurants and, given the characteristically French plumbing and air conditioning problems, sometimes a “sickly, cabbage type smell fills the entire building,� says one of their neighbors. The 1,300 sq foot apartment however does have 4 bedrooms, a Jacuzzi, wide screen TV’s and a retractable glass ceiling. There are also Eiffel Towers views- obscured slightly, by the elevated Metro tracks and a parking garage. “The noise and pollution is terrible and they get covered in dirt if they stroll anywhere,� says a source.
