Adoption may be in the cards for Demi and Ashton

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher may soon be hearing the pitter-patter of little feet. Demi’s been doing a lot of baby shopping lately, anyway. Demi recently returned for the third time to baby boutique to the stars, Petit Trésor. The store - frequented by Britney Spears, Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lopez - closed down so the actress and her friend could shop privately, says Star magazine.

Demi was looking at the nursery furniture and asked about changing tables and an armoire. "She was curious about delivery times for the furniture and about the colors and finishes," a source told the magazine. Demi learned that delivery normally takes 8-12 weeks, but the source claims that Mrs. Kutcher "said she wanted it sooner!"

Of course, Demi could be shopping for someone else’s baby, but that’s not how it seemed from the conversation she had with her friend while shopping. "I like this for the baby," Demi said. "Demi made it sound like it was for her - and she mentioned Ashton, too. She was like, 'I wonder if Ashton would like this,'" the source revealed.

Though some think Demi is pregnant, citing the fact that she’s been covering her middle while in public (One recent citing of Demi caused an onlooker to say, "She had this big bag and she held it over her stomach. She looked like she was hiding something."), it’s more likely that she and Ashton are considering adoption. Adoption would also explain Demi’s rush order on the furniture. Back in February a source close to the couple told Star, "Demi is more serious than ever about looking into adopting."
